Loyalty to who?
Journalist have a difficult job for several reasons. One of the main include who they choose to be loyal to and why? Do they stick with the businesses or do they stay true to the citizens? What even is loyalty or truth? How does one define these things. And when they do figure it all out how do they stay true and loyal to either or? It seems that this country has started to find ways to sway the truth. Our country thinks it is ok to do certain things when in reality, its not ok. During class and the debate that we had it opened my eyes for both sides which made the question even more tough. yes, it's true that the businesses do matter and that the journalist wouldn't want to lose them and the time and money they put in. But then look at the citizens and the society. They are the people who read what the journalist have to say. They are the people who pick up the newspapers, magazines, blogs, etc. In my personal opinion I think that journalists should be true to first the citizens but that they should also keep the businesses in mind. However if it came down to the two, and if they had to break their loyalty to one of the above.. I would say break it with the businesses. The citizens will always be loyal if the are treated the good.
